You have nice looking pseustes. They do have personality. I am finding that they are "mellowing" (if you can use that term for a pseustes) ever so slowly. They used to get upset and go into their threat and strike mode whenever I put my hands into the cage. Now, as long as I don't touch them, they just ignore me if I change their water or such. They are even mellowing abiut when I feed them. I still have to put their heads in front of their mouse but they swallow much more easily and they take the f/t fuzzy into their mouth on their own sometimes and eat it.



They also hang stretch out in their cage in the most interesting ways. Sometimes the female will stretch out along the floor of the cage and then up the wall or above the perch, om the perch and then down. Its so cool to see them "relax" that way. Of all my snakes, they seem to have the most personality. The green tree python and bamboo rat snakes I have are very cool but the peustes have the most interesting personalities so far.



I am not sure where my pair is from. As I mentioned in a previous post, I got mine from Ken at Exotic Pets in Las Vegas. He said they had been captive born in a zoo although he did not know which one. I wish I knew where they are from. Is there any way of telling from adult coloration which areas they come from? I know they have wide variations in coloration. Where did you obtain your Pseustes from?



At any rate, your snakes look very nice and their cage set ups seem to please them. My snakes are between 20-24 inches long. Does that seem right for a growth rate for yearling pseustes?
