Posted by: turtlemom at Thu Oct 7 10:26:50 2010 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by turtlemom ] I have a 13 year old male sulcata, that weighs about 75 pounds. If I turn my back on him he will come up and ram into the back of my legs. The last time he rammed my left foot up against our brick wall bruising the side of my foot and making a small gash on it with his shell. Does anyone else have a large tortoise they cannot trust? Is there any possibility he will out grow this? Can a tortoise be trained to stop an unwanted behavior? I am seriously thinking of rehoming him before he breaks my ankle.
