They do better with protein food right now because plants take an awful long time and a lot of energy to digest, and with them being so small, they don't have much energy reserve (fat) like the larger ones do. But don't over do it either. Just introduce the veggies and fruits in-between each feeding of bugs and other stuff. Hope this helps!
