One suggestion....I also took in my Ornate for the winter. I would put a large plant saucer a little deeper into the substrate, and put some flat stones around the water dish so they don't get the substrate in it. I also put some Cypress mulch over the substrate which also helps hold humidity, and is a little cleaner. Just what works for me.
