I cannot see how clipping scales/scutes around the less painful edges of a shell to mark/identify endangered or rescued chelonians is remotely in the same leaque as haphazardly installing a carrying handle on the shell of your pet for convenience IMO!!! Lets just sell pink and blue dyed chicks at Easter time again, or red-earred sliders with tropical scenes painted on their shells like days of old!! I am not a PETA, HSUS, etc. supporter, but this is a bit too far and IS cruelty, or at least STUPIDITY!!!
