I have a young retic around 3.5 feet long that will not show any interest in eating small rats. She is finicky even with FT mice but will take a couple about every 2 weeks. She could definately handled a small rat but shows no interest what so ever. I have tried live, FT that were rubbed down with mice to get the same scent and numerous other things but she moves away from it when ever approached. Even left it (FT rat)in the cage overnight but nothing.
She has a hide box with cage temps at that end around 80-85 degrees with a cooler side on the other end. Should I try not offering anything for a couple-three weeks then try the rat?
Anyone dealt with such a picky eater?
