She hasn't done this since I put the hide box back in with them. I think she was going in the water to try and escape from the male. The only problem with the hide box is that she goes in it and the male won't. Don't know what to do. She also keeps bucking him off when he tries to lock with her. I put the hide in 2 days ago and she hasn't gone back in the water since. Thanks for the comments, let's keep it going. I'm new to Dumerils so I'm learning as I go.
