Typically the minimum age is at least 15 months with 18 months or older being better. Minimum weight is 350g. This ensures the female is done most of her growing so she isn't using up resources in egg development that should go to her growing.

Your girl can still be bred for the 2011 season, just I would recommend it be a late breeding... If she's still active and not showing signs of wanting to brumate, keep everything the same and she probably grow more over the next couple months. As it isn't always necessary for dragons to brumate for them to produce eggs, you can introduce a male in late spring...(May-June) (if your girl is 12 months right now...she will be 18 months in May. April would be fine too...especially if your girl puts on another couple inches and more weight.
