It will all depend on WHY you want to breed. If you are looking to make money, there are easier ways than breeding kenyans. If you want to do it for fun, its great.
I agree with the earlier post. Mice/Rats production is a boom and bust cycle. Mice/Rats are also fun to raise themselves, but A LOT of work. Fun though.
I keep a colony of around 50 sand boas. I also have in the neighborhood of 200 mice and 40 rats to keep them up and going. I produce more than I need, and turn around and sell the excess to pet stores. The excess mice/rats helps pay for the rodent feed and bedding. I spend about an hour a day working with the rodents. Some days more.
