If you have room for a bearded dragon cage, then you have room for a leopard gecko cage too. You definitely don't want to house them together. Too much chance the dragon may end up harming or eating the leopard gecko.

The fact leopard geckos are more nocturnal will help to prevent bearded dragons from encountering them, but leopards do come out in the early evening and may encounter a hungry dragon before lights out. That and a foraging leopard gecko may disrupt a bearded dragon's sleep (since dragons have a habit of just falling asleep where they happen to be the moment the lights go out.

Leopard geckos do well in 20 gal long tanks which is small enough you can set right ontop of a bearded dragon's cage...over the cool end (this way it won't over heat during the day from the lights in the dragon's cage).

With stacking cages and proper planning, its not hard to house quite a few reptiles in even a tiny apartment. I kept over 22 reptiles in my one bedroom apartment (though I do admit it is bigger than most one bedroom apartments.)
