we rescued a redtail boa that had BAD nose rub, and in his case, he was in a wooden cage, he was 5 ft and he was caged along with a 6 ft boa, they both had RI but he was the only one with nose rub, his temp wasnt accurate nore was the humidity. needless to say we concluded his nose rub was from stress and unaddiquite care... Maybe theres something going on with his housing that isnt suting him. we have a diamond/costal, hes 3 yrs old, in a 55 gallon aquarium, on cypress mulch, water bowl, rocks and some sticks. and hes doing just fine in that. hope i helped?
