They are native to tropical Vietnam and SE Asia and the Fat-tailed gecko (Hemitheconyx caudicinctus) is from west Africa. Very different in needs. Please give the golden gecko some thick branches and a flat, vertical piece of cork bark, bark, or something to hide behind.
