false water cobras are not medically significant, but that doesn't tell us much other than your not going to die or lose a limb. unfortunately there is not a whole lot of real, scientifically documented, info on any rear fanged snake/venoms. i've seen a photo essay where a fella let his western hog-nosed snake chew on him for a while with only swelling and tingling for around 72 hours. also i have seen necrosis, tissue death, in a photo that was said to be from a mangrove. basicly a grey area except boomslangs and twig snakes. which can kill you.

also i've heard you may have extreme diarrhea with fwc and mangs, though i don't know if this is true and i did not experiance this from a black mangrove bite.
