one suggestion, get it off the sand! where leopard geckos are from in the wild does have sand, but where they live is more rocky. they taste thier environment constantly with thier tongues, sand will stick to the tongue in a small degree, and they DO swollow it! sand is not a natural substrate and in my opinion should not be used for leopards. i know alot of people may have used this for years without problems, but the risk is there, simple as that. i think it is a possibility that your leopard is impacted.
