A little distraction is what I'm aiming for. Wish it were more in keeping with the reptile motif of the forum... but as much as I love keeping reptiles/amphibians... out in the field botany is and will always be my major interest, everything else I see is simply a bonus.

Carl, Fringed Gentians are rare here in Maine, sadly the site where I photographed that cluster years ago no longer seems to be extant... rather a shame because the photo gives no justice to just what a rich blue they are.

Again thanks for the comments... only have another 3 posts planned out... not nearly enough to get through the winter doldrums
