Fayetteville, AR green mamba dry bite?

Anyone hear about this? Is it the normal practice for a cache of a mamba, cobras, and pit vipers to be "removed and destroyed"? Seems like it would be more dangerous for animal control workers who presumably are not experienced exotic handlers to attempt to move and kill so many snakes, especially that "30 mph" green mamba. Sad and frustrating.
