is something wrong with my gecko???

i have a pine isle leachie i have had for allmost 2 yrs now i just noticed his mouth today tho altho i watch and hold him alot
it seems that this place just came frome no where in one day..

on the side of his mouth his scails are like there bent a lil an when he shuts his mouth the scails dont close all the way togeather in a place about 1-2 mm long
what is this how can i help is it treatable
