Hello all,

Well, it's been 10 years since I've owned a Beardie but after a recent, unsuccessful pairing of Uros (pairing of eachother and with our family) I decided we needed to go back to where our love of lizards started=) I really loved my Uro's but it's difficult to duplicate that unique Beardie personality that I wanted for my daughter.

So, after finding a home for our Banded Uro's two days ago, we'd decided to get serious about finding a good match for us and found one much sooner than we'd expected in the form of a 9mo old Red Sandfire/Yellow/Snow/Leucistic from Li's Lovely Dragons outside of Chicago.

Alicia was a dream to deal with and I was very hopeful her little guy had what we were looking for so I packed up the car today and took the two hour trek up North with my little girl and her friend. It was the home and family atmosphere I'd hoped for with selective breeding and regular handling. Then she pulled her little guy from his enclosure...he was beautiful!...and handed him to Faith Ann. He patiently held onto my little girl and she giggled, wiggled and ran around the house with the children. What a little sweetheart he is right from the start!

He was a little hesitant at first this evening...sitting at the back of his basking spot and leering our way. Since then, he ate a little for us and and is now watching us intently right up at the front of the terrarium. He can't get enough of Faith Ann...his eyes follow her everywhere=) I'm very hopeful this is the pet we've been waiting for and am very thankful to Alicia for her patient demeanor and fine work and also very thankful to the many other breeders that reached out to help me find what I was looking for=).

So, please help us welcome Despicable Me (Desi for short)...Miss Faith Ann and her friend came up with this name and we all LOVED it! =). Hope it's a long, healthy happy life for him and us=)

Take care,

Molly
