The rest of the world including all american countries(except USA) need to have cites papers and/or chips/photo ID... its Illegal to sell or own any CITES I animal without paperwork(unless you bought them not knowing any better).. so yes all cyclura fiji iguanas etc in the rest of the world that are legal have to have CITES papers.. However we do not need to be certified CITES breeders if we own legal stock with EU-CITES to be able to breed and sell our animals.. At least not in sweden...
The problems u face in the states are because of illegal ancestry and the lacy act.. from what i understand..
For example i can ship my cyclura to canada within a month without any problems at all.. but i wouldnt even try to ship to the USA... its impossible unless it to a zoo or recovery program.. i have even shipped cyclura to Iran without any problems at all.. took less than 2 weeks for all the papers all and all...
This is my pure lewisi female bred in Europe with CITES.
