i have 2 amazing baby male iguanas, sam 5 months i got him when he was 2 weeks old at a block party. and mayson 9months old i got as a gift this past christmas, sam who i would say is about 8 to 9 inches long with tail is the most loveable iguana you could ever meet in your life he sits and naps with the cats or he lays on your chest while you do whatever you need. he gets antcy once in a while tho and thinks its funny. hes playfull to he will hide and once you find him he comes crawling out onto my hand. mayson who is about two times the size of sam, is not as trusting and lovey yet, he keeps his distance from me most of the time unless i have his nummys or unless its tubby time, ive only had him about a month and he was in a pet store his whole life and when i got him he was so stressed, i kept my distance for a couple days from both of them so they could both adjust to eachother and so mayson could get used to his new home. hes pretty calm now. i take him out daily and attempt to socialize and gain trust but hes not to into me he loves my sister he took to her really quick im scared to keep them away from eachother she sits in the room and he walks to her and leans for her to pet him, i dont understand why he does that to her but not the one who takes care of him. maybe theyre attitudes are so much alike he just clicks with her. i keep them on a strict romaine diet with bannana's in the AM/PM and fresh food every morning and afternoon i keep a UVA bulb on durring the day and switch it to a night heat at night and keep an infa red on at all times just incase they dont like the day or night bulbs. mayson takes most of the run of the cage they are in a 55gallon right now once i get enough money saved i want to have a cage built to save money on all the tanks plus have it enclosed in some way that theyres glass outside and wire inside to climb on and run around, but i need sammy to grow a little more so he doesnt get hurt, they are on Rep-Cal calcium is there any other kind of suplements to givee them so they have absolutly no defisensies and does anyone have any pointers or any corrections if im doing anything wrong in raising them or anything? i want nothing to happen to my boys, theyre like my kids.
