Okay, so this is my third iguana. He/she is still a youngster and i am almost a veteran when it comes to iguanas. The one I had before this has almost 4 feet long and as tame as a puppy. It was potty trained to a certain extent!! haha. I lost the previous iguana when I had it outside and a bird scared it into the woods. I looked for hours and never found her, then a few days later a friend told me an iguana was turned in to the shelter when it was found in the woods...only to be claimed by some random guy.
Anyways, severely off topic, I have a new iguana now because I am just now deciding to open up and want another iguana in my life after being sad about losing the one years ago. He/she is a sweetheart that I have named yoshi. However, I have a lot of problems with him sometimes being very hostile or scared. What are some things I can do to tame him? The reason I don't know is because my other one was just naturally attached to me and I had it around me constantly because of that. Yoshi tries to run any chance he gets so therefore i cannot have him out a lot and bond with him because of it.
Any help/tips would be appreciated! Also, i noticed that there are a LOT of what looks like water marks on the side of his glass like he has been sneezing ALL OVER THE PLACE. I have heard that is how they release salts, but it doesn't seem healthy for him to be doing that enough to be COVERING the glass on all sides.... Any advice on that also?
Thanks a lot guys!
Nick
