He’s right, differently a prolapse. But I am thinking more the case of a parasitic infection like worms or Protozoa.
Sugar is an excellent idea it is both an antibiotic and reduces swelling.
Soaking is a good idea and keeping the area as clean as possible.
Also confine the animal so she doesn’t drag around and further injure the prolapse
Stop feeding last thing we want is more stool

Get to the vet is the best idea
