unfortunately yes, the lightning bugs are pretty toxic

Use a screen like window screen (very fine) it will still allow a good deal of light pass through. I should have checked today inside the screen room with the meter to see the difference.



We have love bugs down here but I have not heard of anyone having had any problems... although they look like they are very similar to lightning bugs.

I wonder if there is a anti love bug serum that could be concocted... basically... if you saw one get eaten do a massive fluid flush and wash it through.

Just a thought.
