Adding water would probably make your bedding get moldy. Potatoes are a good source of water for you mealworms.
Oatmeal will keep your mealworms going but is not a very good gutload for feeding them to your reptiles.
My recipe;
1 box each of the 4 Gerber powdered baby foods. An equal amount of oatmeal, whole wheat flour, bran and ground parakeet seed (this can be processed in a blender or food processor). I also add Ol' Roy dry dog kibble.
Your mealworms will thrive on this and it will provide much better nutrition for your herps.
Hope this helps, ----- BigT There is a difference between ignorance and stupidity. The ignorant can be taught, stupidity is beyond our control. 1.2 P. m. melanoleucus B/W N. J.
