They spend the majority of the time in the wild grazing on grasses and other plants close to the ground. Especially Cycluras, which are mainly a ground dwelling species. The only thing you need to worry about is herbicides, insecticides and fertilizers that may be present as well as small trash items that maybe present on the ground which the iguana may pick up due to curiosity. They sometimes also eat small rocks and dirt from the ground which I believe is the way they compensate for lack of minerals and digestive probiotics lacking in their man-made diet.
