I feed them quail, rats, mice and anything else they'll eat for the first year. I feed the chicks to sub-adults and adults for
what Ive observed to be the ease in digestion. Time from eating
to crapping seems to be shortened by a day. I have a friend that
has a large couperi collection that feeds mostly rodents with
occasional chicken or fish thrown in and all his couperi are healthy and robust and he gets good clutches every year.
All the drys are capable of Hog status from what ive seen and
rubidus especially. Hope that helps!
