Alan has to be credited with bringing most of the existing rubidus into the captive population. Several years ago he was able to acquire adult snakes that had been languishing in another collection. It was a leap of faith on Alan's part. He was able to bring them back from the brink with remarkable care and attention. Alan was rewarded with several good clutches of rubidus eggs two years ago.
