I've been away from the forum for weeks...Z-Z-Z-Z-Z..winter doldrums. Eve asked how I'm doing and the answer is pretty good. Had plenty of snow, which I count as free water--after 30 years in Arizona watching cactus die of drought, I'll take free water any way I can. I kept my critters awake this winter although the Aquaflame takes matters into his own hands (paws?) and disappears for weeks on end under a rock in his cage. He comes out sometimes, maybe eats a cricket and then it's back to bed for a while.

Other critters include desert iguanas, some desert horned lizards that are a real handful (must collect live ants constantly), the Cookie Monster my redback chuckwalla, three species of alligator lizards, some Scheltopusiks and a few other odds and ends.

Tom, I'm the one who got the redback chuck from you a few years ago--picked it up at your workplace. It's still doing great. I put him outside for sunning on most days from May to October and he's thriving. Are you still working with any of those carrot-tails? There's a cage waiting if need be. I live about 10 miles west of Detroit.

Hope all is well with you and the rest of the forum family.
