Okay so Im wanting to get a lizard.Ive looked at ALOT of different possibilities.I havent yet explored the chameleons at all.In the past the high price and low life expectancy have put me off.300 dollars and only 8yrs of life didnt seem like a good investment. But i notice the prices have come down quite a bit.

So tell me about the different species.Like what is the difference between a panther(besides the horns) and the amilobe chameleons.I would love something with alot of color and dont feel the need to "play" with my reptiles unless they want/need it.So a grumpy gus is okay.

The vieled seem very popular or at least available are they easier? I dont necessarily want easier but not horribly difficult either.

Is there a good site that talks about the care for the different species(with pics) so I pick out what would work best for me?

What about a male/female pair, can they be kept together?

There seem to be so many different kinds its a bit overwhelming.
