I have a 6 month old leopard gecko, Buddah, who is now an adequate size to join the rest of my ladies (all 3yrs old, raised together) in their big terrarium.



Buddah appears to be female as far as I can tell. She looks eagerly over at the other tank and seemed to enjoy the company of the other geckos when I've briefly tried introducing everyone. 2 of the 3 older gals seem indifferent about her and have no problem with her roaming around their house. The 3rd old gal, for whatever reason, does NOT like the new baby. During supervised introductions, she starts up with aggressive slow tail movement and marches right over to confront Buddah. I've never let visits go much further than this because I wasn't nervous about what might happen.



Anyone have suggestions as to why this one otherwise easy going female displays aggression towards a younger gecko?

Any suggestions on introduction techniques to help get her over it? They already occupy adjacent tanks and can see each other all the time, but for some reason the situation becomes entirely different when there's no glass between.
