How do I hibernate/cool lizards?

I haven't done any lizard breeding up until now and need to get some advice on a lizards winter cooling period. The lizards I need to cool are Italian Wall Lizards and I don't know anything about the hibernation. Its not exact hibernation more like a cool period to simulate winter. What do I do?
