Just stay away from imports, I may be exaggerating a bit but I know back in the day importers would bring in 100 animals hoping to keep any gravid females alive long enough to get eggs. Extremely high mortality rates..like Gonyosoma many will initially appear to be doing well, eating etc. but over time will crash and burn faster than you can ever believe.

One importer friend of mine told me he quit bringing them in as they smelled like kerosene..he did a bit of research and found out many exporters keep their inventory in used kerosene drums and he feels the fumes start the decline process.
