Managed to get away for a couple of nights' cruising and found this gem on the second and last night....actually it was still daylight! I'm always amazed what a few degrees can do to affect movement! Unlike all the previous Senticolis I've found, this guy didn't "freeze" when discovered, I barely had time to jump off of my quad and chase him back on the road before he was lost to the downside slope of talus.

Very little else can match the thrill of a green snake backlit by the setting sun on a remote road!
