I've had two situations with two seperate snakes, one a chondro and the other a honduran boa that has me baffled. Both snakes were acting fine and ate a mouse/rat from a very reputable company and within days they regurgitated the meal and in the case of the chondro it died a few days later. The boa lost a lot of muscle mass, tone and strength. I thought I was going to lose him but he is on a long road to recovery....I hope. He seems to be gaining every thing back but very slowly. The good thing and also strange in my opinion is that he is eating very well and never really lost his appitite. His situation happened around Dec 1. Both cases were several years apart, in different buildings and I did not own both snakes at the same time nor were they kept in the same enclosure. I currently house over 20 other snakes that have never experienced the same behavior.
I would love to hear your thoughts. Sorry so long
