It seems when melanin is reduced it affects the erythrin or erythrocytes as well.......The Applegate Special Pyro isn't toatlly red it is more orange than red.....Just as amel tricolors are more orange than red MOST of the time......

Even some of my reduced black thayeri have orangish saddles instead of the normal red.......
