Today he fell asleep at 1 pm and will stay that way until the next morning . Usually he goes down at 3 pm and that it for the day . Tom recommended a backing temp at 120 . He has a 120 basking temp it warms the whole cage to 85-90 . Tomorrow i will lower the basking temps to 105 and the rest of the cage to 77-80 /- and see if he stays up longer . Not sure if i am getting enough UV ?? . I have a 100 watt basking bulb ( 120 under it ) next to it is a 125 watt exo-tera MVB ( its 90 -100 under it )and a zoo-med 10.0 ( i picked up today ) on the other side of the basking bulb 16'' above . In the morning he's very active , eats and basks , eat and basks and explores ,then at 1-3 pm he goes under the basking bench and falls asleep and he's done for the day . He's not panting as if he's too hot , he's eating good , not sneezing , just salting . any ideas ?? Do baby Rhino's normally fall asleep that early and stay down ?? The fist three weeks i though he did that to hide and was stressed, but now he eat while i watch and come to the glass and stares at me and doesn't seem stressed . He will even go down early if i am gone all day. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
