I've had my share of escaped snakes. One of my snakes has shown himself twice now to be different from your average escaped snake. His name is Jester, and he was very well named. When he was a yearling I didn't close his cage all the way, so where does he go when he escapes? He climbs into bed with hubby and me! Even though I like snakes, waking up at 4 am with one under your pillow is a bit disconcerting.

Well I AGAIN forgot to close his cage properly and night before last he got out of his cage again. Where does he go, now that our bed is a lot taller and harder to climb onto? He climbs into our bedroom toilet! I turn on the light in the wee hours of the morning, not at ALL expecting to see this snake, his head hanging out of the toilet by about a foot, the rest of him curled up in the toilet water all nice and comfy. He's the funniest california king ever. Can't seem to escape without making a spectacle of himself.
