I'm here in New Orleans visiting family, but I can't leave until I get out herping first. Does anyone know of a State/National park within a reasonable (2 hours tops) drive from the city? Looking for a place with a good amount of solid ground, not too swampy but swampy enough to see some gators and wading birds. Would love to see anything venomous! My mom is with me and a bit reluctant to go, so we're looking for some relatively easy terrain with plenty of wildlife. We're going Saturday so we need ideas soon!

Thanks and much appreciated!
