I have been keeping snakes off and on pretty much all my life, but studied amphibians in school, and went with poison frogs for about 15 years. I finally burned out on them, (mostly due to the level of interest and commercialization the poison frogs receive from the herping community now), the tediousness of feeding and maintaining food cultures, and the sheer numbers of young you wind up dealing with.
