Posted by: tgcorley at Sun May 15 18:49:58 2011 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by tgcorley ] The second (and last) clutch of the season was laid last night by an intermediate thayeri (see old picture of her below). I bred her to a Vivid line orange male with reduced black. Eleven eggs in all, and they were ginormous - one is elongated like the cal king eggs I used to see. The shell on one of the larger eggs, unfortunately, was too thin on one end and leaked (probably as it was being squeezed through the vent) while two others also showed leaks. However, the remaining eight eggs look sound and are now set up in my Hovabator set at 78 F. Got my fingers crossed for some pretty babies in late July! Above the picture of the female is a picture of the orange male. [ Reply To This Message ] [ Subscribe to this Thread ] [ Hide Replies ]
