Additionally, cars cannot multiply and make many folds more junk baby cars that unknowingly(or knowingly)infiltrate and find their way into captive collections throughout the country(and world)stripping any authenticity away from the other classic cars out there that are left...
Your right, hybrids and crosses are like when someone "thinks" they are actually acquiring a matching numbers '69 Roadrunner with a 426 hemi, and later find out it is actually a bogus look-alike replica that was purposely made to look similar to a genuine one, and but originated from a Satellite with a 318 motor..
The hybridizer/crosser's argument would then be......"DUDE!, it still looks shiny, has killer whacky paint, and burns rubber!, so what's not to like!!"
