These things were popping out eggs like crazy. If you set up the cage right, they will thrive. These things will dropped dead from being too wet. Believe me! They like it really dry. I cool mine down all the time during winter and they always wake up normal and very hungry. I've seen people keeping monitor on wet dirt and they started developing severe fungal infection. In some part of the country it's easy to get fungal infection. The monitors lid up like Christmas lights when they shine UV light on it in the dark!
