The Texas legislature recently passed, by a wide margin, a partial reversal of the ban on road collecting. The new law will allow collecting from the shoulder and right-of-way (including road cuts, etc.)provided one purchases a "herp stamp" from Texas Parks and Wildlife, and wears a reflective vest for safety.
