How old is too old to breed?

I'm wondering what the general concesus is on max breeding age, males and females alike. Specifically I'm interested in carpet pythons, but am curious as to other types of snakes. There seems to be a lot of info out there on minimum age/weight, but no max, at least not that I can find.
