Just got back from the Trans Pecos. It was bone dry and there was not much moving. We went home 3 days early.
The view from the observatory, Ft Davis

Estimates of over a million acres burned.

This suboc was found basking on a cut after a big meal.

We did see a couple of snakes per night. Some were very thin. We saw a few atrox, night snakes, subocs, 1 bairds and an alterna. Still it was nice to see friends and spend nights outdoors in the desert.
