>>I am about to build a new inclosure for my trio of ackies. My problem lies in the heating/ lighting. I want to mount 2 or 3 bulbs in a row inside the cage. Would a regular porcelain light socket work? Also how exactly should I wire them? Thank you

I just wire them in series. Depending on how have them controlled.

Parrallel works as well. Again it simply depends on how you control them.

For my large lizard enclosures fro days long gone. I built them in groups as an assembly. One plug and wired them in series together. Then this was plugged into timer. If you play with wattages and don't depend on them for anything more than basking spots (IE not heating the entire cage) they work great.

Combined with Rete's stacks...I saw super growth assuming I could afford to keep them feed...LOL
