Egg shape/size in first generation?

For those that have produced F1 hybrids, have you noticed the eggs themselves showing intermediate characteristics between the two parent species? For example, if you breed a male pine snake to a female corn snake, will the egg shape and size be influenced by the pine snake?

Being that the eggs are generated by the female, I would expect them to not show any intermediate characteristics until the second generation. However, being that we can very easily distinguish between fertile and infertile, the male obviously has some influence over their development.
