Hiking around northern Florida (Tallahassee area) the other day and came across this guy. Had to be at least 6' long, definitely the largest C. adamanteus I've ever encountered in the wild. I had no desire to disturb him and by the looks of it, he was going to put up a fight. I sat there marveling in its beauty for a few minutes before moving on. Of course, he rattled at every movement I made. I got about 7' from him to take the shot. Probably my best adamanteus moment.
