I have a new pair of yellowheads in a 68 gallon tank. I have a 125w solarglo MVB sitting on the screen. I built up and properly secured some rocks under the heat lamp. They are 12in. from the lamp. When i check my hotspot with a digital thermometer and temp gun i'm only getting a hotspot of 92 degrees. Just doesnt seem right. What size lamps do you typically use? I'm thinking about adding a second dome with a basking lamp to get the temp up. I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
