Forgot to mention Colorado, which was my last close call... spent hours looking, but only had a couple hours which i consider to be a very limited hunt, it was a well know spot for Crotalus, signs posted and everything... a group of bikers and a group of hikers reported rattlesnake sightings 'just up the path', 2 separate sightings and neither of which I could locate... Another drive of shame.
